True Worshippers Will Persevere Evil Times

TRUE WORSHIPPERS WILL PERSEVERE EVIL TIMES

We are living in evil times. The daily news declares people blatantly reject good and unabashedly embrace immorality. Satan controls many who boldly follow him and commit deeds to satisfy his destructive desires. Good is dubbed evil, while evil is upheld as good.

Those who proclaim a commitment to Christ are disparaged. Our world is in the grips of those who wish to be rid of those voices calling attention to the Kingdom of God.

The world resists the message that a day of reckoning is inevitable for sinful lifestyles. There is open hostility towards God and those who dare swim against the sinful torrential tide. Worshippers of Christ are secure in the knowledge that He is our everything.

Jesus removes all ambiguity about this relationship when He declares, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” (‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭35, 51‬)

Our spiritual futures are secure in Him: “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 1 Peter‬ ‭5:6-8 ‭KJV‬‬

*Christ’s believers comfort themselves, when trouble arises, that our faith is strengthened through adversity which produces perseverance.

Through all of life’s circumstances, we are to:

•Continue to pursue God hourly and daily.

•Fast and pray to draw closer to Him.

•We open our spirits up to His still, quiet voice.

•We follow His gentle urges and spiritual nudges.

•We learn His voice and follow His instruction.

•We rely on His direction and inspiration.

•We consciously strive to make Him our Lord.

*We are kept secure by obedience to Him.

•We are sealed with Him for eternity.

•We do not fear natural death.

•He promises death is a transition to perfection:

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you…”‭ ‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬
